Vacancy for Parish Council Clerk
Mickleham Parish Council
A vacancy exists for the part-time position of Clerk to the Parish Council after Trevor Haylett, who has been in the post for the last five years, announced that he wished to stand down.
It’s an interesting position working closely with Parish Councillors to promote the good governance and smooth-running of the Council and helping to secure it’s aims and objectives. Meetings of the Parish Council are held, usually on the second Wednesday, every other month and the Clerk will put into action the decisions arising from that meeting. The Clerk will also update the Parish Council website.
A flexible attitude is needed as well as determination, administrative experience and IT, organisational and inter-personal skills. A knowledge of local government at all levels would help. Hours of work are roughly 25 over the month. The salary is to be decided.
Applications, including CV’s, should be sent to the Clerk at - clerkatmpc@gmail.com before 30th September.
