Covid 2019 aka Coronavirus

Please see below the statement from Rev David Ireland, Chairman of Mickleham Parish Council:

You will all have heard about this pandemic, which appears to have originated in central China. If anyone who has recently been to one of the countries listed below and/or believes they might have contracted the virus, here is a link [https://www.gov.uk/guidance/wuhan-novel-coronavirus-information-for-the-public] to the Dept of Health page and here is a link [https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019] to the WHO page, both of which contain useful advice and Q &As.

With regard to the international population of students at Box Hill I have been reassured to learn that the School have been proactive on this issue from the time it arose. No Chinese or Thai students are returning home this half term and all other students have been requested to inform the School of any travel plans over half term so a judgement can be made regarding isolation. All overseas visitors to the School are required to disclose recent travel prior to the visit being confirmed.
The School will start contingency plans for the Easter holidays once half term is over.
